SAWYER AVIATION'S TWINSTAR IS STILL AVAILABLE!!!

Sawyer Aviation is committed to maintaining its DA-42 aircraft in top condition and making the investments necessary to keep Twinstars flying. Unlike others, Sawyer Aviation is not leaving its customers without an aircraft to fly in the middle of their training nor trying to promise a Twinstar then switch the customer to older, less capable, twin-engine.  Sawyer Aviation is doing everything it can for its customers to keep them flying.

Sawyer Aviation welcomes Twinstar customers, who may have begun their training at another location, to continue and finish their training with Sawyer Aviation's 2008 DA-42 Twinstar.  If considering flying a Twinstar somewhere else in the country and the DA-42 you plan on using is still being advertised but is "temporarily unavailable;" don't settle for training in an older Piper Seminole, Aztec or Duchess. Train only with the best, most modern, aircraft available.  Train for your next rating in Sawyer Aviation's glass-cockpit, 2008, DA-42 Twinstar!

Rental & Checkout Requirements

DA-42 Rental: To fly Sawyer Aviation's DA-42 solo, (without a Sawyer Aviation instructor on board), pilots must have the following:*

• 200hrs total flight time

• 25hrs multi-time in any multi-engine aircraft

• 10 of the minimum 25 multi-engine hours must be in a DA-42 ~OR~ have 10hrs of DA-42 time dual (with a Sawyer Aviation instructor)

• *Lesser checkout times may apply to ATP, CFI, or type-rated pilots. Eligibility is assessed solely at Sawyer Aviation's discretion

• *Rental minimums do not apply if a Sawyer Aviation (MEI) instructor is on board.

• Overnight/Multi-day rental/time-building flights are allowed by Sawyer Aviation.

• Completion of Sawyer Aviation's DA-42 ground school (6-8hrs one-on-one with Sawyer MEI) or $249 for scheduled class time, call for all times).

You can obtain the following ratings in the DA-42 Diamond Twin Star: Multi-Engine Private (single-engine private-pilot license required), Commercial, Instrument, ATP, CFI (Multi-Engine)/MEI, CFII (Multi-Engine).
